Line in The New Basics

As we move forward from dots, we jump into lines. Lines function in many different ways and become an important part of successful design. Trying to exemplify three words visually through lines is difficult but understanding how they function is necessary to push past the boring and confusing. As we move forward into warping our line studies it is good to keep in mind movement, rhythm, and depth. The space around the lines start to play a larger part in the composition creating visual interest. Also the spacing between lines create pace through movement and rhythm and can add to concept as well as visual interest. So far all of these principles and ideas have been in my head but intentionally manipulating them is what makes the compositions stronger.
